Last Updated: April 8, 2025

Welcome to the Minecraft Education Wiki (the "Service"), accessible at mcedu.xyz. These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity (“you”) and the operators of Minecraft Education Wiki (“we,” “us,” or “our”), concerning your access to and use of the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

BY ACCESSING OR USING THE SERVICE, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS. If you do not agree with all of these Terms, then you are expressly prohibited from using the Service and must discontinue use immediately. We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to make changes or modifications to these Terms at any time and for any reason (see Section 12). Your continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

2. Description of Service

The Minecraft Education Wiki provides informational content, including tutorials, guides, resources, tools, and potentially user-generated content related to Minecraft: Education Edition add-on development and associated topics ("Content"). The Service may evolve over time, and features may be added, modified, or removed without prior notice. The Content provided is for informational purposes only and should not be taken as professional or expert advice.

3. Eligibility

You represent and warrant that you are eligible to enter into these Terms (e.g., you are not a minor in your jurisdiction, or you have parental consent) and have the full authority to bind yourself to these Terms. If you are under the age of 13, you are not permitted to register for an account or use features requiring personal information submission. We recommend users under 18 seek parental guidance before using the Service.

4. User Accounts

  • Registration: Access to certain features may require registration via third-party authentication (e.g., Discord OAuth). You agree to provide accurate information as provided by the authentication service and maintain the accuracy of any additional profile information you provide.
  • Account Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your account access and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this security obligation.

5. User Conduct, Content, and Restrictions

  • Responsibility: You are solely responsible for your conduct and any data, text, information, usernames, graphics, photos, profiles, links, or other materials ("Content") that you submit, post, or display on the Service.
  • Prohibited Activities: You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:
    • Posting Content that is unlawful, harmful, abusive, defamatory, obscene, infringing, invasive of privacy, hateful, or otherwise objectionable.
    • Uploading viruses, worms, or other malicious code.
    • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the Service, user accounts, or computer systems.
    • Using the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
    • Circumventing, disabling, or interfering with security features.
    • Using automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without permission.
    • Impersonating any person or entity.
  • Content Moderation: We reserve the right, but have no obligation, to monitor, screen, or remove Content that we determine, in our sole discretion, violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable, without prior notice.
  • License to Use Your Content: By submitting Content to public areas of the Service (e.g., profile bio, future "Releases" or forum posts), you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform the Content in connection with the Service and our business operations. You retain your ownership rights in your Content.

6. Intellectual Property

  • Our Content & Service: The Service and its original Content (excluding Content provided by users), features, functionality, trademarks, logos, and service marks ("Marks") are owned by or licensed to us, and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Except as explicitly provided herein, no part of the Service and no Content or Marks may be copied, reproduced, aggregated, republished, uploaded, posted, publicly displayed, encoded, translated, transmitted, distributed, sold, licensed, or otherwise exploited for any commercial purpose whatsoever, without our express prior written permission.
  • User Content: You retain ownership of the Content you submit. You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights to grant the license in Section 5.
  • Minecraft Assets: "Minecraft" © Mojang AB / Microsoft. Minecraft Education Wiki (mcedu.xyz) is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Microsoft or Mojang AB.

7. Disclaimers

  • "As Is" Basis: THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. YOU AGREE THAT YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE WILL BE AT YOUR SOLE RISK. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, IN CONNECTION WITH THE SERVICE AND YOUR USE THEREOF, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
  • No Guarantee: We make no warranties or representations about the accuracy or completeness of the Service's Content or the content of any websites linked to the Service and we will assume no liability or responsibility for any (1) errors, mistakes, or inaccuracies of content and materials, (2) personal injury or property damage, of any nature whatsoever, resulting from your access to and use of the Service, (3) any unauthorized access to or use of our secure servers and/or any and all personal information stored therein, (4) any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from the Service, (5) any bugs, viruses, trojan horses, or the like which may be transmitted to or through the Service by any third party, and/or (6) any errors or omissions in any content and materials or for any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of any content posted, transmitted, or otherwise made available via the Service.

8. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT WILL WE OR OUR DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFIT, LOST REVENUE, LOSS OF DATA, OR OTHER DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. NOTWITHSTANDING ANYTHING TO THE CONTRARY CONTAINED HEREIN, OUR LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CAUSE WHATSOEVER AND REGARDLESS OF THE FORM OF THE ACTION, WILL AT ALL TIMES BE LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT PAID, IF ANY, BY YOU TO US DURING THE SIX (6) MONTH PERIOD PRIOR TO ANY CAUSE OF ACTION ARISING (OR $50 USD IF NO AMOUNT WAS PAID). CERTAIN US STATE LAWS AND INTERNATIONAL LAWS DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES. IF THESE LAWS APPLY TO YOU, SOME OR ALL OF THE ABOVE DISCLAIMERS OR LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU, AND YOU MAY HAVE ADDITIONAL RIGHTS.

9. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless, including our subsidiaries, affiliates, and all of our respective officers, agents, partners, and employees, from and against any loss, damage, liability, claim, or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees and expenses, made by any third party due to or arising out of: (1) your Content; (2) use of the Service; (3) breach of these Terms; (4) any breach of your representations and warranties set forth in these Terms; or (5) your violation of the rights of a third party, including but not limited to intellectual property rights.

10. Termination

These Terms shall remain in full force and effect while you use the Service. WITHOUT LIMITING ANY OTHER PROVISION OF THESE TERMS, WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO, IN OUR SOLE DISCRETION AND WITHOUT NOTICE OR LIABILITY, DENY ACCESS TO AND USE OF THE SERVICE (INCLUDING BLOCKING CERTAIN IP ADDRESSES), TO ANY PERSON FOR ANY REASON OR FOR NO REASON, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION FOR BREACH OF ANY REPRESENTATION, WARRANTY, OR COVENANT CONTAINED IN THESE TERMS OR OF ANY APPLICABLE LAW OR REGULATION. We may terminate your use or participation in the Service or delete your account and any content or information that you posted at any time, without warning, in our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall survive (including ownership, disclaimers, indemnity, limitations of liability).

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will alert you about any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date of these Terms, and you waive any right to receive specific notice of each such change. It is your responsibility to periodically review these Terms to stay informed of updates. If a revision is material, we may try to provide notice (e.g., via a site announcement) prior to new terms taking effect. You will be subject to, and will be deemed to have been made aware of and to have accepted, the changes in any revised Terms by your continued use of the Service after the date such revised Terms are posted.

12. Miscellaneous

  • Entire Agreement: These Terms and any policies or operating rules posted by us on the Service constitute the entire agreement and understanding between you and us.
  • No Waiver: Our failure to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not operate as a waiver of such right or provision.
  • Severability: If any provision or part of a provision of these Terms is determined to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision or part of the provision is deemed severable from these Terms and does not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.
  • No Joint Venture: There is no joint venture, partnership, employment or agency relationship created between you and us as a result of these Terms or use of the Service.
